HAPPY FANGS-GIVING!

Better late than never. Okay, maybe in this case never would be better.

No turkeys were harmed in the making of this movie.

LSD-LICIOUS!

GOBBLE-GOBBLE-HEY!

Blood Freak (1972) is available on DVD from Something Weird Video.

So you watched BLOOD FREAKS for Turkey Day and didn't like it? I've never seen it.

My Thanksgiving viewing was ZARDOZ, which was a film Ed Wood might have made, if he'd been an acid-dropping hippie with a million-dollar budget.

Also watched Dear Boris in HEART OF DARKNESS, which was by turns interesting, pretentious, and dull. But it had one of Karloff's finest performances, though the role is small. He was Kurtz, and hearing him say, "The horror...the horror..." was a thrill.

Actually, I really DO like Blood Freak quite a lot. And since it's the only turkey related horror movie I can think of it automatically makes it the best AND worst Thanksgiving monster movie thus far.

I always thought Zardoz was kind of under rated. A pretty wacky film but I prefer the more imaginative cerebral sci-fi movies of the 1970s - even the flawed ones - than the cgi laden crap of today.

Blood Freak sounds wonderful.

I love Zardoz - you get Charlotte Rampling, plus you get Sean Connery in a bright red diaper. How many movies can offer that?
